Nanans Cuisine is the result of a lifelong dream
While growing up in Mexico, I initially developed an interest in food while working in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother, both excellent cooks. They were my best teachers; they always managed to prepare the most basic but really wonderful foods; my grandmother used to say that if you cook with love and patience, every meal will reveal it, and she was so right! Ms. McCarthy, a wonderful lady who introduced me to a wide variety of cuisines and taught me to see the world and the kitchen through new eyes, must also be mentioned.
My culinary training and experience began 35 years ago, and I polished my abilities while working for numerous families and living in different parts of the world. As the Mexican Embassy’s Chef, I created and implemented menus for entertainment functions for senior government and corporate figures, as well as the diplomatic corps, in Belgium. I learned to value the fact that every culture has incredibly valuable culinary offers; all we have to do is utilize our imagination to create beautiful fusions, with the universe as our only restriction.
My culinary philosophy and enthusiasm are in line with the current trend toward a more natural, healthy diet. My style has been defined as both modern and traditional. I produce recipes that are basic yet delicious to your palette by building on my culinary talents and adding an unlimited supply of regional ingredients.
